The Faculty of Technical and Trades Innovation offers a range of courses from pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships through to advanced diploma and post-trade in Automotive and Engineering Technology, Construction Industries, ICT and Electrotechnologies, and Industry Skills.
Work focus
The Faculty maintains strong links with industry to ensure training is relevant. Many of our full-time and part-time staff work within company operations. Our business is assisting individuals and companies in the workplace - companies are able to utilise both the University's and their own qualified staff to deliver flexible training that complements individual schedules.
On-the-job training
The Faculty provides on-the-job training, both short and long term, in a broad range of industries. With specifically developed programs for the new apprenticeship system (subject to an agreed training program), traineeships can now be completed totally within the workplace.
Study options are available for mature-age students entering into the work force or upgrading their existing qualifications, or school leavers wishing to begin a career in their chosen field.
