Your future starts today

Year 10 is an exciting time. This is when you get to make your big decisions about VCE subjects. It can also be very daunting, as the decisions you make now are also linked to your tertiary study options. To give yourself the best chance to get into your chosen course when you leave school, its a good idea to start planning now. It may seem a bit early, but many courses require certain subjects in Years 11 and 12 as a prerequisite for entry. Make sure you are prepared.

Where do I start?

We have put together a handy PDF Year 10 Guide (666KB). This will start you off in the right direction. There are heaps of tips to help you decide what you would like to do, and practical advice on how to get into courses. Before you get started on your course exploration identify:

  • your interests, likes and dislikes
  • what you have learnt from work experience or part-time work
  • your hopes and visions for the future.

Course exploration

Find out more about courses, through our courses database. This will give you a complete listing of subjects, fees for each subject admission requirements, and course length.
