Food & catering
All Victoria University (VU) campuses offer a range of food options for students, staff and the wider community. This includes VenU, our award-winning, student-run restaurant at Footscray Nicholson Campus.
We strive to cater for dietary requirements. However, offerings vary from campus to campus.
Free drinking water is available from new drinking fountains and from free essential kitchen facilities available to staff, students and visitors on across VU campuses.
All VU food and beverage outlets have strict health and safety practices in place.
City Campus
VU's City Tower has two cafes, which focus on serving up fresh and healthy food. Grab a coffee on the ground floor, or head to Level 10 for a 'grab and go' option between meetings or classes.
Footscray Park Campus

External caterers
We recommend VU cafes to support your catering needs on campus.
Our cafes offer catering during general business hours, from morning tea and sharing platters to conference packages. Some of our cafes also offer after-hours catering with dinner packages, cocktails and beverages. You can rest assured that our cafes comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Our preferred external caterer is Mabu Mabu. Mabu Mabu is an Indigenous-owned food business with a mission to make native ingredients the hero of the Australian kitchen. They comply with all relevant laws and VU requirements. For more information, email or download the Mabu Mabu catering menu (PDF, 511.3 KB).
Otherwise, you may want to consider other external caterers if you have:
- specific event requirements - e.g. food trucks for Open Day
- cultural requirements - events that require cultural offerings
- a large group - group sizes that our cafes can't accommodate
- a student-led event - e.g. a fundraising sausage sizzle.
