VU at Midsumma Pride March 2024
Melbourne’s annual Midsumma Festival is on again in 2024 and we invite staff, students and your friends and family to join VU at Midsumma Pride March.
Join us as we march with over 7,400 people, to celebrate the LGBTIQA+ community in a welcoming, safe and respectful way.
Event details
The annual Midsumma Pride March is an opportunity for connection with colleagues and students – and the wider LGBTIQA+ community. Here's what you can expect on the day:
- Meet up: Join the festival atmosphere as we meet at Ian Johnsons Oval in St Kilda, surrounded by performers, pets and groups waiting to march (a great opportunity to connect with the VU community and other universities)
- The march: Walk with VU as we chant, cheer and dance our way down Fitzroy Street, shining VU Pride
- Post March Celebrations: For those keen to stick around, the celebrations continue at Cantini Gardens with food trucks, DJs and performances.
