Alison McGregor is a Teaching Focused Academic in numeracy, a teacher, lecturer, and researcher of AI, science and mathematics, STEM education. 

Alison has held range of leadership roles in schools and universities. She is the manager of the early learning sector in the VU Action Group for Equality and Inclusion of Gender Diversity in Research (AGEIGD), Unit Convenor of Teaching Mathematics units within masters and undergraduate teaching courses and Chief Emergency Warden. Within schools, she has held positions of Head of Science and Science Coordinator.

Alison manages the AI Our Way secondary school excursion program that runs through the VU Cyber Security and Training Operations Centre (CSOC) at Victoria University, St Albans. She supported the integration of AI into a secondary school mathematics curriculum.

Alison’s teaching roles expand from Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, to Fujian Province, P.R.China and California, United States of America.  Alison’s research includes mixed methods research in student engagement in mathematics and the PBL pedagogy, case-study research into the roles of mathematics and science within interdisciplinary STEM settings, and participatory action research in praxis-informed development and implementation of a new model of AI pedagogy, AIEdTechism.
