Brea is a lecturer with the College of Sport, Health and Engineering.
She is passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment prepares students to be evidence-informed, culturally responsive health professionals of the future. Brea teaches primarily in the Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) program supporting students in their preparation for professional practice.
Brea’s research interest lies in exploring teaching and learning practices in health professional education and how educators can utilise innovative learning strategies to promote student engagement and enhance the student learning experience. Brea is currently undertaking a PhD at VU within the Institute of Health and Sport investigating the effectiveness of curriculum practices in health professional education in preparing graduates to deliver culturally competent care.

Industry experience
Brea is a registered osteopath and has worked in community and multidisciplinary allied health settings for over 10 years. Brea is an advocate for a supported transition to practice for new-graduate osteopaths and was a senior mentor in one of the largest osteopathy focused clinics in Australia.
