Chunxiao Liu, also known as Joy, is pursuing a PhD in Education at Victoria University, and has won two awards: the HDR Student Conference Award for the "Best Poster Presentation" in 2021, and the Themed Presentation Award at the Institute for Sustainable Industries & Liveable Cities (ISILC) HDR Symposium.
Chunxiao started her academic journey at Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST) in China, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in English and was awarded QUST Integrated Second-Class Scholarship. She then completed a Master's degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of International Business and Economic (UIBE) in Beijing, China. She's a recipient of the UIBE-Scholarship of Virtue for her contribution on and off campus.
Chunxiao loves research and teaching, and has more than five years of Chinese language (Mandarin) teaching experience. As a Research Ambassador, she not only helps others with her research skills but also makes a place where everyone's ideas can grow and students can succeed. She believes in being a mentor and guiding other researchers.
