Gaelle is a final-year PhD candidate at the Institute for Sustainable Industries & Liveable Cities (ISILC). She has been awarded a scholarship by Victoria University and the Australian Geothermal Association (AGA) with the support of hot springs across Australia.
Originally from Mauritius Island, Gaelle moved to Melbourne in 2017 to pursue her Master in Business in Tourism and Destination Management at Victoria University. Throughout her studies, she developed a passion for the wellness industry, responsible tourism and sustainability but most particularly for the hot springs.
Her research focuses on the importance of the Australian hot springs industry and its impact on the community, environment and the economy in regional development.
