Lucy Franzmann

Lucy Franzmann is the Chief Financial Officer of Victoria University (VU). She oversees VU's overall financial strategy, planning, policy and commercial financial operations.

Lucy is an experienced finance leader committed to the delivery of exceptional public services and the best use of resources, particularly in health, education and the arts.

Prior to VU, Lucy was the Chief Financial Officer at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre from 2016 to 2021. During her tenure, Peter Mac’s activity and revenue grew significantly. She led the strategic financial review of their operations after the relocation to Parkville and provided financial stewardship for the new clinical operating model.

Her previous roles include

• Deputy CFO at Barwon Health
• Director of Innovation and Improvement at Austin Health
• Deputy Managing Director of Victorian Opera
• Project Accountant at the Royal College of Music, London.

Lucy is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of CPA. She holds a Masters of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts.

Lucy is also a Board Member of the Victorian Assisted Reproduction Technology Authority and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance.
