Matthew coordinates the Outdoor Recreation stream in the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Management (ABSR) and the Outdoor Education specialisation in the Bachelor of Education (ABED).
Matthew Cox has been working within the Outdoor Industry since 1995. Prior to commencing his academic position at Victoria University, Matthew held a number of outdoor professional freelance positions.
He has worked with a variety of user groups in the provision, facilitation and education of adventure based activities throughout Australia.
Matthew is very passionate about the benefits that time spent in the outdoor environment can have on the human condition.
He states that his role here at the University "is to educate and develop outdoor professionals that can move into society and use the outdoors as a medium to create positive change for individuals and society at large."
