Sarah comes to the Mitchell Institute with a deep knowledge of education and skills policy, having focused on the intersection between education and the economy in a number of roles across the government, the not for profit and private sectors.
Her focus at Mitchell is to bridge the gap between the evidence base and the policy process, working to connect research insights to policy development.
Sarah has a strong interest in early childhood education and in the pursuit of a cohesive and connected tertiary education system. Prior to joining Mitchell she led the research program at the Centre for Education and Training at Australian Industry Group. She also led research and evaluation at early childhood policy and advocacy organisation The Front Project and has worked across education and economic policy for governments in Victoria and New South Wales and at national skills advisory body the Australian Workforce and Productivity Agency. She has also served on the Board of the Future Skills Organisation.
