Shelley Penn is an architect, urbanist and non-executive Director. She has extensive experience as a business owner in architectural practice, including more than twenty years as a senior and strategic advisor to the government and private sector.
Recognised as an expert and influential champion, Shelley is committed to advancing the quality of outcomes for all people through design in the procurement and delivery of bespoke public infrastructure.
An independent Director and Deputy Chair of the Suburban Land Agency, Shelley is also an Advisory Board member for the Office of Projects Victoria and the CIT Woden Project. In addition, she is:
- a member of state Design Review Panels in Victoria, ACT, NSW and WA
- an Associate Professor at Melbourne University
- an Adjunct Professor in Architecture Practice at Monash University, where she is also the University Architect and advises on campus quality matters.
In 2021 Shelley was made a Member of the Order of Australia.
