Weiliang has been a long-standing academic of UIBE with teaching and research interests in public administration and customs administration.
Weiliang took four years away from academia to serve as the commercial attache, in the Commercial office of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt and Uganda, respectively. He was responsible for promotion and distribution of products; business negotiation on behalf of Chinese companies and preparing bids for international programs for the World Bank, IMF, and UNDP.
Weiliang studied at the Korean Development Institute, completing a Master of Public Policy. He has had other overseas experiences as a visiting scholar at the University of Wisconsin and has led UIBE students to visit Georgia State University in the US to participate the Summer Academic Research program.
