Overview

Attain your mechanical stream to seek adding to your plumbing registered licence, with the Plumber Essential Mechanical Skills TNACB at Victoria University.

This course is for you if you have completed your CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing and are working as a registered licenced plumber with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA).

Before you begin your study, you will need to contact the VBA, to make sure that after the completion of this course, you will be able to apply to register as a plumber in the mechanical stream. This will need to be submitted with your application for this course, as written evidence.

You will learn how to:

  • fabricate and install steel pressure piping 
  • test ducting systems
  • prepare and connect refrigerant tubing and fittings
  • install and commission evaporative air cooling systems.

 

Entry requirements

Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee you entry into this course.

Some courses receive more applications than the number of places available. In this situation we will also assess your education, work and other relevant experience.
