Corrine Jones started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1981 (equivalent to the Certificate IV in Nursing). She went on to receive a Diploma in Nursing, graduating with distinction from Kwantlen College in Surrey, Canada.
In 1997 she graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Nursing. She received a transfer scholarship, a bursary from the Registered Nurses Associaton of British Columbia (RNABC) and the Frank & Lila Thompson Scholarship for Studies in Nursing. In addition, her university poster project was presented at a women's conference in Halifax, Canada.
After immigrating to Australia in 2001, she became passionate about decreasing the theory/practice gap in the Certificate IV in Nursing Program. This led to successful completion of a Master in Educational Leadership from Victoria University in 2008 and a current doctoral research candidature: A Kaleidoscope Journey: Integrated Andragogies in the Diploma of Nursing Program Quantum Learning System and Campbellteaching. The two units involved in the research study are Confirm Physical Health Status and Analyse Health.
