About Laurie Chapin
Laurie's research experience relates to improving the outcomes and wellbeing for students.
She has developed VU Kick Start, a program aimed at improving the transition to university for first-in-family students in their first year of study. Laurie is also interested in the resilience of youth, investigating outcomes like leadership, psychological wellbeing, and academic engagement, as well as youth programs to build resilience and promoting positive outcomes.
