About Sam Fragomeni

Sam is a Professor in Structural Engineering at Victoria University. He has over 25 years teaching and research experience in the university sector. He is author of over 100 high impact peer reviewed journal/conference papers, predominantly in the concrete structures area. Sam has undertaken various of leadership roles including Head of Engineering (current role) and Director of Engineering studies. 

His current research interests are in:

  • Behaviour of high performance concrete materials
  • Design and serviceability of concrete elements
  • Fire performance of structural elements
  • Sustainable building design.
