About Fion Lim
Dr Fion Lim is well-recognised in the international education industry for her experience in transnational education. This recognition is carried across to her role at VU where she has a leading role in quality assurance in the University’s third-party arrangements, research, and active public engagement.
Fion’s experience in transnational education spans different aspects of the industry. Her experience in this area ranges from managing commercial profitability and stakeholder engagement, to curriculum development, teaching, research and managing the academic quality and delivery of transnational delivery. She also has experience in developing and managing higher education programs in Singapore and Australia.
Accomplishments & achievements
- Fion’s PhD thesis ‘Australian transnational higher education quality assurance in Singapore and Malaysia’ received the IEAA Excellence Award 2012 – Outstanding Postgraduate Thesis on a topic related to International Education.
- She is a member of the International Committee of Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA).
- She has been the Deputy Convenor of IEAA Transnational Education Networking Group (two terms).
- Fion contributes actively to committees within institutions she worked for. She is currently a member of the VU Academic Board, and Learning & Teaching Quality Committee.
