About Amanda Muscat

Dr Amanda Muscat is a Senior Lecturer at Victoria University (VU) and a Research Fellow with ISILC, bringing over 20 years of industry and leadership experience to her role. With expertise in both practical and theoretical domains, Amanda excels in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Her research focuses on literacy education, digital transformation in education, and innovative teaching practices across sectors, with a particular emphasis on contemporary learning strategies.

Amanda has held leadership roles, including Director in F-6 schools, and worked as an educational consultant. Currently, she serves as Course Chair for the Master of Teaching (Primary) at VU, where she champions innovative approaches to teacher education. She also leads the Graduate Certificate and Diploma of Tertiary Teaching and delivers an innovative academic induction program for university staff nationwide.

A recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award for 'Student Impact', Amanda has secured significant industry grants and continues to make a profound impact on education and teacher development.
