Patrick is a Lecturer of Physiotherapy with the College of Sport, Health & Engineering.

He is a physiotherapist, academic and clinical researcher with an interest in the prevention and management of common musculoskeletal injuries.

Patrick has research expertise in lateral ankle sprains, chronic ankle instability, and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in high-risk sports including netball. His research publications include best-practice guidelines for prevention and management of ankle sprains, negative sequalae associated with chronic ankle instability, and the biomechanical effect of external ankle supports and footwear.

Patrick has presented at prestigious national and international conferences and has been a finalist (2023 Sports Medicine Australia Conference) and awarded best paper (2022 Women in Sport Congress). Patrick has also received several industry-based grants and has strong collaborations with ASICS Oceania, Netball Australia, Orthosport Victoria Institute (OSVi), and Sport4All.

Patrick is currently the Sport Science & Physiotherapy Lead for the Melbourne University Lightning (Victorian Netball League) and Team Physiotherapist for the State Under 19 Squad (Netball Victoria). Patrick has also previously worked in other elite netball programs including the New Zealand Mens, West Coast Fever, Melbourne Vixens Academy, and Victoria Fury.
