About Carl Woods

Carl co-leads the Sport That Inspires research theme within the Institute for Health and Sport. As such, he oversees the functioning of multiple Research Groups that sit within this theme, as well as various sports knowledge exchange partnerships, including those with the Maribyrnong Sports Academy. In addition to these research leadership activities, Carl and his research students study sport performance, human movement and skill adaptability at the interaction of Sport Science and Ecological Psychology. This has been ongoing journey since the award of his PhD from Edith Cowan University.
