About Lannie O'keefe
Dr Lannie O’Keefe is an Accredited Practising Dietitian holding professional memberships with the Dietitians Association of Australia. Lannie is a founding member of the First Year College. She teaches and convenes the domain teams of Public Health, Health and Social welfare and Human Nutrition and Food.
She teaches public health, health policy and human nutrition units and plays a key role in developing public health and nutrition units for the block model. Following completion of her PhD Lannie worked at the Federal Government as a grant manager for the Department of Health. She has extensive experience working in primary, community care and local government.
An active researcher of metabolism and is supporting two current PhD students to complete their candidature. Lannie has publications in Q1 journals in a variety of different research areas such as genetic, nutrition, dietetics, cancer, food chemistry, pharmacology, molecular and research. She has a keen interest in nutrition, public health and chronic disease.
