The Work Ready Practice Unit provides and prepares students with the work ready skills and knowledge required post-graduation including registration, professional indemnity insurance, developing a CV and cover-letter, applying and interviewing for jobs and advanced physiotherapy skills for various physiotherapy settings. These skills are an essential component for graduates as they transition into clinical practice as qualified Physiotherapists.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Exemplify work-ready skills of a registered practitioner including autonomy and adaptability in the process of securing employment after graduation;
  2. Articulate the different areas of clinical practice and skill-based competencies required to transition as an independent clinician; and
  3. Apply critical reflection frameworks in evaluating work readiness as a new-graduate physiotherapist.
