Research Methods in Public Health

This unit provides students with the specialised skills to critically appraise public health research to inform evidence-based practice and to undertake applied research. Students will gain an advanced understanding of relevant professional and/or scholarly conventions which govern research – with a focus on health equity and apply these in a range of contexts. They will be engaged in reviewing and appraising a variety of research approaches across the breadth of public health.
