Join us as we celebrate the Games in Paris! We will be screening some of the events at Footscray Park in the P Courtyard as part of our Olympics LIVE events, plus running a whole range of activities with VU Sport every day.

We will be ramping it up for a screening of the Matildas v USA on Thursday 1 August, with free hot chips in the courtyard. A week later on Thursday 8 August, we will also be hosting a special screening of our VU Athletes who are competing in Paris this year. We will have a pop up basketball court in the courtyard for the length of the Games, so come shoot some hoops and watch Australia win gold!

Get involved with fun activities

Get into the spirit of the Games! Come and watch, and even have a go. No experience necessary, it is all about having a bit of fun.

Have a shoot around on the 3x3 basketball court at the Building P courtyard between 10:30am—2:30pm and join in the activities below. All participants qualify for a thrive* t-shirt (while stocks last).

Try out two modified versions of the popular sports; tennis (pickleball) and badminton (speedminton). Stay for a quick game or the whole time.

Join in a Boxfit class and punch, duck and weave - using pads and shields, no person-to-person contact!

Test how fast you can row 500m and see how close you can get to a world champion.

Come and Watch the Olympics LIVE at our Footscray Park Campus, every day, 10.30am–2.30pm, 31 July – 9 August.

Location: Footscray Park Campus, P Courtyard

Come and watch the (slightly delayed) screening of the Matildas v USA. The game happens at 3am, so don’t check your phone in the morning and come watch the game fresh in the P Courtyard!

We will have free food, plenty of seats, and VU Sport running activities throughout!

Location: City Tower Campus, Ground Level and Level 10

Hang out between classes and watch the Games at the City Tower! We will have screens operating on both Ground floor and Level 10 in the student lounge.

VU Sport will also be running a range of mini activities with prizes to be won.

Come and watch a range of events featuring our VU champions! Featuring both current students and alumni, celebrate VU sportspeople at the highest level in the P Courtyard.
