We collaborate with councils and community groups to respond to local needs, and extend this work to support global initiatives.
Our partners
We are the University of the west of Melbourne.
Our partnerships with local councils and community groups respond to local needs for skills, knowledge and learning, and offer opportunities to VU's students.
We are also global citizens, working with communities in many countries to make a difference in that place, at that time.

Indigenous partnerships
We work with community to improve study and employment opportunities of Indigenous people at VU and beyond.
How do we choose our partners?
Our partnerships:
- reflect our strategic plan and research focus areas
- offer productive and valuable outcomes for both parties
- are based on shared values and aims
- foster a two-way exchange of knowledge and opportunity.
