Calling all VU students, staff, and alumni! Got a passion for art? Want to showcase your creativity? We’re inviting YOU to be part of our vibrant, week-long art exhibition at Footscray Park.

From stunning visual art to live performances, this is your chance to shine. We’re kicking off with an exciting opening night on Monday, October 7, 2024.

The week is packed with events, including:

an outdoor cinema screening student films paired with yummy snacks
live music performances at Kindred Studios.

Plus, we’ve got pop-up surprises and creative workshops sprinkled throughout the week— there’s something for everyone!

Kick off the festival with an evening full of art, music, and good vibes! Here’s what’s in store:
Art fair – discover amazing student artwork, from paintings and sculptures to unique artifacts.
Awards ceremony – featuring a Welcome to Country and an exciting awards ceremony judged by our prestigious panel of judges.
Live music – enjoy the music of student bands.
Canapes and mocktails – Savour delicious canapes paired with a refreshing range of mocktails and juices!
Exhibition - discover the art of book covers at the Library Special Collections Exhibition (Level 2, open until 6pm).

Join our Air-Dry Pottery Workshop and experience the calming art of hand-building clay!
What to expect:
learn the basics of hand-built pottery
create beautiful ceramic pieces like vases and bowls
take home 2-3 of your own handmade air-dry clay creations.

Skant – Questioning Functionality
In this project, two stylists will create and showcase unconventional looks, each styled specifically for the model to wear. The runway show will be interactive, allowing the audience to actively participate.
