Victoria University (VU) and Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB) have entered a transnational education partnership to deliver a Bachelor of Business with a nested Diploma of Business (Enterprise) and a double major in Marketing and Business Analytics in Vietnam.

Under the agreement, the courses will be delivered through the unique VU Block Model® - where students focus on one subject at a time across a four-week block, in workshop-style classes – taught by both HSB and VU staff in English, with learning opportunities for HSB students to study part of their program at VU Melbourne.

HSB is one of 13 member schools of the Vietnam National University (VNU) system. It has high student demand, very selective entry and has gained a strong reputation for innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programs. All of HSB’s current programs have been accredited by ACQUIN, Germany.

VU has played a pioneering role in transnational education partnerships in Asia for over 30 years and is now one of the largest providers of Australian qualifications outside of Australia.

VU Vice-Chancellor Professor Adam Shoemaker said he was delighted with the opportunity to share the VU Block Model with HSB.

With over 6000 students studying our programs with partner institutions in Asia, we are committed to providing accessible top-quality education. This partnership and our long-standing engagement with Vietnam is testament to that. Staff and students will experience first-hand our revolutionary approach to teaching and learning in their home country,” Professor Shoemaker said.

VU is looking forward to welcoming the first cohort of students seeking an international business degree in August 2025.

HSB Rector, Associate Professor Hoang Dinh Phi noted that there is rising demand for graduate business skills in competencies such as business analytics, logistics and supply chain, digital marketing and information technology – all strong components of VU’s offering.

"Through a strategic partnership with such a globally reputable institution as Victoria University, we create more opportunities for our students," said Associate Professor Hoang Dinh Phi.

This cooperation embodies our vision of helping the students to learn from all sides and by all means to improve industry-relevant skills for their career development in the new era of Vietnam's rise. We are confident this program will equip future business leaders and managers with the knowledge and capabilities to thrive in an increasingly competitive world.
