VU staff receive awards for standout contributions in 2024

Award recipients for Uplifting Student Service: Bringing the Contact Centre In-House
The annual VU Staff Awards shine a spotlight on individuals and teams who have made a significant impact on the University and the communities we serve.

The results are in! Victoria University (VU) staff were encouraged to submit applications across eight categories: Learning and Teaching Excellence Award, Engagement with Impact Award, Research with Impact Award, Progressive Inclusivity Award, Sustainability Award, Innovator Award, and People’s Choice Award. 

VU Vice-Chancellor Professor Adam Shoemaker said about the recipients: 

“It warms my heart to spotlight colleagues who are often quiet achievers but put so much effort into making VU a thriving place to study and work. As an institution, we couldn’t be prouder of them.

A total of 83 individuals across eight award categories were commended for their standout initiatives and contributions in 2024. 

One VU Award

  • First Year Law Professional Pathways Team 

Engagement with Impact Award 

  • Orygen and Victoria University Flipped Campus Major Alliance Team

Research with Impact Award 

  • Blak Women’s Healing – Moondani Balluk Team
  • Green Trench Innovation (G.T.I) Alliance Team 

Progressive Inclusivity Award 

  • Deadly Tech Days at Wyndham Tech School Team
  • Prepare for Placement Module: Bridging Capability Gaps for Student Placement Success 

Sustainability Award
