Improve your English skills to apply for jobs, with a Certificate II in EAL (Employment) 22642VIC at Victoria University.

This course is designed for people learning English as an additional language. It will help you to develop your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills for work.

In this English course you will develop the skills to:

  • write job applications
  • participate in job interviews
  • practise simple conversations for employment
  • read and write simple information for employment
  • observe and report on workplace activities
  • prepare for work in an Australian workplace.

Note - Location availability will depend on student demand. Location preferences and availability are discussed with applicants during their Pre-training review interview.

Course structure

To be awarded the 22642VIC Certificate II in EAL (Employment), 8 units must be completed consisting of:

  • 5 Core units
  • 3 Elective units which can be selected from units not previously completed from the:

  • elective units listed in this qualification
  • units listed in Certificate I, II and/or III qualifications in this EAL Framework
  • units that are first packaged in AQF level 2 or 3 qualifications in other accredited courses and/or endorsed training packages.
