Overview

Complete the WorkSafe Victoria requirements for the Construction Induction Card (White Card) to gain access to worksites, with this one-day course offered by Victoria University.

The Construction Induction Card (White Card) is mandatory for anyone needing to gain access to work on construction sites in Australia.

This one-day white-card short course teaches you to work safely in the construction industry, or any building site. It provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the minimum health and safety expectations on construction sites, and includes:

  • identifying and verbally reporting common construction hazards
  • understanding basic risk control measures
  • identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies
  • OH&S and safe work practices
  • correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

Once you have successfully completed this training, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit CPCWHS1001. Victoria University will apply to WorkSafe Victoria for the Construction Induction Card (White Card) to be issued.
