Achieve your dream of becoming an in-demand IT professional. Our diploma offers a practical, supportive program directly leading into the second year of Bachelor of Information Technology.

Our Diploma of Information Technology has been designed for students taking the first step towards our bachelor degree, and professionals building their current IT knowledge and skills.

We help you prepare for a degree with targeted support and tuition. We'll also help you enhance your professional-communication and academic-writing skills.

You’ll learn up-to-date skills and knowledge for a career in IT, including:

  • networking (CISCO)
  • designing databases
  • writing computer programs in Python
  • connecting databases to dynamic websites
  • scheduling ICT development using Microsoft Project
  • using Linux (LPI).

If you successfully complete this diploma you will be eligible for a guaranteed place in the second year of the Bachelor of Information Technology, the  Bachelor of Cyber Security or the Bachelor of Data Science.

Entry requirements

Applicants for this course will need to meet the entry criteria outlined below. If you don’t meet the entry criteria, you may be able to gain entry by first completing a related course or unit(s). We call this a ‘pathway’.

If you've completed a qualification where English was the primary language of instruction, you may be eligible for an exemption of English-language requirements.
