VU and cohealth have had a long standing relationship over the years. As of February 2025, we are delighted to formalise this strategic partnership. The partnership with cohealth will provide student placements, graduate pathways and career opportunities to students to enhance health and wellbeing for everyone.

About cohealth
cohealth was established in 2014 as a community health provider and are dedicated to enhancing health and well-being for everyone. They offer a wide range of high-quality health and support services, community programs, and outreach initiatives.
As one of Victoria's largest community health providers, cohealth have over 1,200 staff spread across 32 sites, including multiple locations in Melbourne’s West.
cohealth goes beyond being just a health service; they advocate for health and social equity, conduct research, develop health promotion initiatives, and foster partnerships.

About our collaboration
Cohealth and VU signed a Memorandum of Understanding in December 2024 formalising the partnership with a focus on the following collaboration areas:
- Create job opportunities for graduating students in these areas.
- Collaboration on student run clinics, including psychology, physiotherapy, osteopathy and exercise rehabilitation.
- Provide students with regular guest lecturers.
- Collaborate on perspective research projects, especially in public health, policy and healthcare sustainability.
- Recruitment of future students.
- Offer placements, internships, and volunteering opportunities across various fields, such as:
- alcohol and other drugs
- business
- community services
- dietetics
- disability services
- information technology
- law
- mental health
- midwifery
- nursing
- psychology
- physiotherapy
- social work
- speech pathology
- youth work.
