Set for supply chain success
The best thing about VU is the support it provides its students outside the classroom to succeed and win.
Blake Dutta
Bachelor of Business (Supply Chain and Logistics Management)
With the support and guidance of VU, and through the unique work-integrated learning program, Blake Dutta started his career before he graduated, alongside GM Holden’s senior leadership team.
“VU aided my career goals. I initially enrolled in engineering, but I turned to the University’s student support services for mentorship and was able to identify my strengths and career aspirations, which led me to enrol in business.
At the end of first year I was successful in landing a co-op role at GM Holden. Throughout my placement, Holden provided the opportunity to build a solid infrastructure for career growth, teaching me the fundamentals needed to operate within the business world, and further educating me beyond what a degree can offer. After my co-op was completed, I was asked to stay on for a graduate position working alongside Holden's senior leadership team. I was then subsequently offered a full-time role, which resulted in five years in analytics and forecasting roles, which I'm passionate about.
I was recently excited to take the leap into a supply chain position at Natrio, while I'm acting in an adviser role at Silver Bullet Business Advisory.
The best thing about VU is the support it provides its students outside the classroom. The University provides the support each student needs to succeed and win.”
