My course helped me to develop skills in problem solving, critical thinking and collaborative working.

Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance)
Through her course at VU, international business student Michelle Lee Pei Hua has built a global network of connections and friends.
"Thanks to VU’s International Business Challenge (IBC-2), I built up my character with good leadership and analytical traits.
My course also helped me to develop skills in problem solving, critical thinking and collaborative working necessary for professional and academic learning through group and teamwork, team-based projects, interactive class-based activities and using a case study approach to business issues.
From the activities held for exchange students such as the Welcome Party, Aussie Mate Meet Up, orientation trip to Great Ocean Road, I got to meet with many international students from all over the world. This has therefore allowed me to learn about their culture and language first hand. Staff and students there are so helpful and warm that one feels really welcome as they are genuinely interested in getting to know you and where you are from.
By studying in Melbourne, I gained global exposure and experience. I am currently working at a fast-moving investment bank in my home country, Malaysia. Through VU’s exchange program, I utilised the opportunity to build international connections and understand different countries’ practices hence I am now able to further add value to the company.
I'm now enjoying my role as a senior business development executive, creating new and innovative business solutions for clients."
