Overview

This unit is the first of two units designed to provide students with experience in planning, conducting, analysing and reporting a thesis in an area of specialisation relevant to Clinical Psychology. The focus of this unit is to assist students in planning a thesis project of sufficient size and scope, preparing them to conduct and write up the project in the subsequent unit APC7904 Thesis 2.

Students will work with a thesis supervisor to refine a research question, become familiar with and critically review relevant literature, and develop a detailed methodology plan, including consideration of research ethics. The unit will provide online resources and learning activities on developing the thesis proposal to support students in scoping the literature, and developing the methodology plan including ethical aspects of the research proposal.
