This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare vehicle body surfaces and apply vinyl film wrapping materials. This unit involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools, selecting vinyl film materials, checking vinyl film quality, and completing workplace processes and documentation.The unit applies to those working in the automotive paint refinishing repair industry.
Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce & extend knowledge and skill competence within set & controlled parameters in accordance with each unit’s learning outcomes & performance criteria requirements, incl the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines.
