In this unit students will develop deep mathematics pedagogical content knowledge and a strong understanding of the importance of research-based enquiry to inform teaching and learning. Students will develop their understanding of the key ideas, skills and strategies that are used in the middle years. Alongside developing a positive and confident mindset towards teaching Mathematics students will become familiar with evidence-based principles that underpin the middle years curriculum. Students will experience administrating and analysing assessment and reporting tools from where they will learn about strategies to support differentiated teaching and learning.
