Overview

This unit will help you to prepare for the blueprinting stage of your SAP S/4HANA logistics execution implementation based on the basic shipping functional scope. It will enable you to use the system in your role as a business analyst or business user. You will gain an overview of the key business transactions and system capabilities to enable you to design the processes you will use within your own organisation. You will learn how the basic shipping process in SAP S/4HANA can help you to support the order fulfilment process, transportation planning, subcontracting, execution, charge calculation and settlement.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Outline transportation management business processes in S/4HANA;
  2. Identify and examine the building blocks necessary for the configuration of a basic shipping transportation process in S/4HANA;
  3. Engage in transportation network maintenance, transportation requirement creation, transportation planning, shipment execution, freight charge calculation, settlement, and freight cost distribution; and
  4. Use SAP S/4 HANA using the Fiori UX.
