This unit of study introduces students to contemporary art, aesthetics and art criticism through the vehicle of critical dialogues. Students engage with fundamental analytical tools that draw on traditional concepts, critical arguments and theories of art. The unit aims to equip students with an understanding of the history of art theory and criticism, contextualised through evolving art practice.
