Students will critically review foundational methodologies, techniques and tools that underpin the successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. An industry standard system, SAP, will be used to illustrate best practice ERP enterprise integration. This unit overviews issues that need to be considered for successful ERP implementation, challenging students to investigate and interpret on a case-by-case basis critical elements including: the Accelerated SAP (ASAP) Implementation Methodology, data conversion, organisational change management and training, testing, and monitoring via project reporting. Students will evaluate a range of implementation strategies and alternative change management models to recommend choices for contemporary organisations operating in a variety of business settings.
