This unit is designed as the Capstone unit for the Master of Clinical Exercise Science and Rehabilitation. It is designed to consolidate and reflect upon the foundational and applied knowledge and practical skills and competencies students develop throughout the course and their practicum placements. The unit provides opportunity to consider how students, as graduates, will continue their professional development and maintain their understanding of contemporary discipline-specific knowledge. In doing so, students further engage with research skills and explore recent developments via a research report related to the provision of clinical exercise physiology. This component is scaffolded from the research proposal within SCL7007 Exercise Physiology Practicum 2. This unit includes a major objective structured clinical examination, representing the culmination of their learning in an applied and authentic format, drawing on the skills and knowledge refined across all units within the degree, and requiring students to demonstrate readiness to enter the profession.
