Overview

This unit is designed to support students with practices of data collection in their community-based research; data analysis and report production. Further, this includes the opportunity to reflect on their field research experience. Students are required to participate in a number of key phases and activities, including ways of communicating findings, to produce and present a major research report on their project.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Implement the skills and knowledge acquired in their international community development studies in a professional setting;
  2. Analyse, report and communicate research findings;
  3. Implement, analyse and report on a community development project in an organisational environment (either in a community-based, regional, governmental or international setting) with reference to achieving organisational strategic outcomes; and
  4. Critically reflect on research experience.
