Overview

Exercise and sports science graduates are expected to practice in a safe, respectful and inclusive way that is responsive to the diverse needs of the client. This unit will help consolidate and expand upon students’ prior learning about the social, cultural and policy factors that influence physical activity and shape exercise and sport science practice. It aims to further prepare professionals in exercise and sport science to practice with a person-centred approach sensitive to diversity and inclusion issues and able to tailor exercise programs and communication strategies to meet the specific needs of each client.
