Destination Green Growth aims to introduce students to the theory and practice of how tourism destinations can make the transformation into a green growth pathway. In the context of the emerging global green growth paradigm, tourism destinations are faced with opportunities and challenges to transform into a more socially inclusive, low-carbon, resource-efficient, stable economy. Through the lenses of concept, policy and practice, this unit provides students with a systematic perspective on wide-ranging and complex implications of the green growth paradigm for tourism destinations, including the entire travel and tourism value chain as well as communities in destinations.
