Security Operations and Vulnerability Analysis is a unit that is among the core body of knowledge in cyber security where students learn the fundamental operations in cyber security that includes asset identification, access control models and their implementation to safeguard the security of organisations in cyber space. In this unit, students also learn how they can assess the vulnerability of an organisation’s hardware, software and communications network. Students will implement hands-on ethical hacking, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing to expose vulnerability points so that they can implement appropriate mitigation and deterrent operations.
