The unit introduces students to key concepts and methodologies in community development and social change projects. It leverages participatory approaches commonly utilised by not-for-profits and allied agencies to bolster community welfare, placing a strong emphasis on collaboration, capacity-building and sustainable practices for local impact and social progress. Through active engagement, students explore the entire project lifecycle – from co-design and decision-making to implementation, monitoring and evaluation – empowering them to co-design and execute sustainable projects that effectively address community needs.
