Student leadership workshops

The LEAD Program is a free, interactive and engaging leadership training program for VU students. 

Become a more effective leader, build important workplace skills and boost your employability through a combination of workshops, activities and online modules that you can complete over the course of your studies.

Come along to the introductory LEAD Program workshop and find out how to earn your Certificate of Completion and have the LEAD Program included on your VU Extra Transcript. Meet other students and learn about various leadership concepts in a group discussion environment. Light refreshments will be provided.

Great leaders have a solid understanding of how their emotions and actions affect the people around them. The better a leader relates to and works with others, the more successful they will be. 

Learn how self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills helps you be an effective leader, manage stress, deliver feedback, and collaborate with others.

The Communication for Leaders workshop will give you a greater understanding of the need to develop rapport with others, the value of listening and the power of networking. Learn how to communicate with others from different backgrounds who may see things differently and work together to achieve common goals.

This workshop will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to provide feedback that fosters growth and excellence within teams. 

Discover the art of delivering feedback that inspires and motivates. We delve into the principles of effective communication and emotional intelligence to help you understand how to provide feedback that encourages individuals to reach their full potential.
