Studying with academic integrity: complete online modules

As you start or continue your studies at Victoria University, complete academic integrity modules online on your mobile or a computer.

Understand what academic integrity means and why it is important to present authentic work and acknowledge the work of others.

Academic Integrity at VU

Academic work must comply with VU’s Academic Integrity Policy and reflect the values outlined in the policy:

• respect
• honesty
• fairness
• responsibility.

Breaching academic integrity includes:

• plagiarism 
• contract cheating 
• submitting work prepared by another person
• collusion
• cheating in exams.

Complete Academic Integrity modules online

To build your academic integrity skills, complete five academic integrity modules within VU Collaborate and validate completion of each module in the Victoria University App. 

Add academic integrity modules to your activity list in the Victoria University App

1. Log in to the Victoria University App using your student ID number and password. If you don’t have the App yet, see instructions for downloading and logging in to the VU App.
2. Within the App, select the 'VU' icon at the bottom of the homepage screen.
3. Within the section ‘MY LEARNING HUB', scroll and select 'Search LH'.
4. Type 'academic integrity' in the search box.
5. Select a module and click 'add to my list'.
6. Select and add all five modules to your activity list.

Complete academic integrity modules on your mobile or a computer

Mobile

1. Log in to the Victoria University App.
2. Access the academic integrity module on your activity list and click the link provided to complete the module within VU Collaborate.

Computer 

1. Log in to VU Collaborate.
2. Go to the Student Induction Space and complete Module 1: What is Academic Integrity?
3. Go to the SPRT–Learning Hub Activities Space and complete: 

• Module 2: Academic integrity in my preparation 
• Module 3: Academic integrity in my work 
• Module 4: Building confidence in Academic Integrity 
• Module 5: Academic integrity in complex situations

When you complete the quiz for each academic integrity module, you will receive an email with a QR code.

Validate completion of each module on your activity list in the Victoria University App 

1. Log in to the Victoria University App.
2. Within the section ‘MY LEARNING HUB', scroll and select 'Validate'.
3. Scan the QR code to receive the 'Congratulations' message.
