Overview

Assume the role of a new venture founder in the Entrepreneurial Venture Scale Up unit.

You will place yourself as an entrepreneur gearing up to take your project to its next levels. By investigating critical processes, you will discover how to improve your entrepreneurial venture. The knowledge and skills you gather will improve your understanding of fundraising and how to structure your new venture. Your goal is to boost efficiency in improving growth and the terms of investment!


In this unit you will gain the knowledge that fuses the energy and motivation of a start up with the required leadership. You'll develop the managerial competencies to balance your decisions to scale up ventures and establish long-term, scalable and sustainable businesses.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Critique, review and apply frameworks of innovation, entrepreneurship and organizational systems that develop and maintain the sustainable growth and entrepreneurial fitness of a new venture;
  2. Analyse business environments and devise innovative solutions that support organizational growth opportunities and address problems that hinder the success of new ventures;
  3. Manage a team with assigned appropriate roles and goals such that it contributes to achieving group-negotiated outcomes for an entrepreneurial venture; and,
  4. Propose and argue for the effectiveness of a business plan through upholding evidence in a written report and oral presentation to a variety of audiences.
